440G-MT Guardlocking Safety Interlock Switch with Diagnostic Outputs and True Key Operation

The 440G-MT safety switch is a positive mode, tongue operated guard locking interlock switch that locks a machine guard closed until machine power is isolated. The guard may only be opened when a signal is applied to the internal solenoid which releases the lock mechanism. The 440G-MT locking mechanism is designed to withstand forces up to 1600N (360 lbs) and the die-cast alloy housing is ideal for use in harsh environments.


The 440G-MT is now also available with a diagnostic output channel allowing indication of the guard doors position. This signal can be utilised in the control circuit for remote indication. The status of the guard door is also visually displayed on the switch via a LED. Guard door status indication includes:
• Door open
• Door closed and unlocked
• Door closed and locked

The 440G-MT is also available with an Emergency Override Key to allow personnel to manually unlock the locking mechanism
for applications where a risk assessment identifies a requirement and appropriate measures are adopted.
