Demonstration van tour evolves with Intelligent Motor Control solutions

Demonstration van tour evolves with Intelligent Motor Control solutions

Rockwell Automation has combined leading-edge motor control and protection devices with the advanced networking and diagnostic capabilities of Integrated Architecture to provide customers with Intelligent Motor Control.

With solutions for a variety of motor control requirements from simple through to complex applications and devices with in-built intelligence, control of motor applications can be truly integrated. This allows users to monitor, control, program and interrogate motor control solutions to achieve the efficiency, reliability and control demand.

With our upgraded demonstration vehicles desinged to showase many of these solutions, customers can easily see how Intelligent Motor Control can be. Clocking up thousands of kilometres as they traverse Europe, the vans allows us to demonstrate world-class motor control technology right where it matters – the locations where it will ultimately serve.

With all the latest hardware installed and wired up to show interactive hands-on demonstrations, our engineers are able to show actual technology
in action and demonstrate the real benefits to be gained from an integrated and scaleable motor control architecture working on the latest generation of industrial networks.

Improve the quality and efficiency of your operations

A new consultative service has been established for the Consumer Packaged Goods industry to help manufacturers in this sector improve the efficiency and quality of their production processes. The Rockwell Automation Competency Centre is led by a worldwide team with expertise in the food, beverage, household, personal care and cosmetics industry processes.

The Rockwell Automation Competency Centre team provides support to Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturers through its Manufacturing Assessment and Planning (MAP) process. The on-site assessment can last from one day to six weeks, with consulting services ranging from operational and business issues to system architecture and project cost analysis.

The Competency Centre team assesses manufacturers’ current operations, looking for opportunities to improve production processes, reduce costs and mitigate risks. Based on this evaluation, the team can recommend ways to improve the information flow and use of automation solutions. It can also determine what improvements need to be made to accommodate future strategic objectives.

The Rockwell Automation Competency Centre team has over 145 years of combined experience in the beverage industry alone, and core expertise across areas such as fermentation, distilling, mixing, filling, packaging and microbiology

“The Competency Centre team helps Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturers tackle production issues such as quality and consistency of output whilst cutting costs,” says Tim Dudley, Programme Manager at the Rockwell Automation Competency Centre. “We work with manufacturers to create solutions that address their unique needs, whether that means installing a new piece of technology or instituting targeted training for their staff.”

The Competency Centre team remains on the leading edge of research and development of technological solutions to meet the changing needs in all areas of the manufacturing process, including digital blending, quality, simulation and de-bottlenecking.
