We have extended our popular Allen-Bradley Stratix 8000™ industrial switch family to include a new variant – the Stratix 8300™ – a full-featured Layer 3 switch.
The new Stratix 8300 offers static, dynamic, multicast and policy-based routing, helping give users maximum flexibility to provide secure segmented architectures for industrial Ethernet applications.

- Embedded switch technology
We are pleased to announce the release of two new three-port EtherNet/IP Switches, the 1783-ETAP1F and the 1783-ETAP2F. These new switches, part of the family started with the 1783-ETAP, differ slightly from each other by offering two Copper and one fibre port and two fibre and one Copper port respectively.

To help manufacturers converge their industrial and enterprise-level networks we are pleased to announce the availability of the 'Converged Plantwide Ethernet (CPwE) Design and Implementation Guide (DIG) 2.0'. The guide, a collaborative development effort from Cisco and Rockwell Automation, provides detailed design guidance, recommendations and best practices for deploying standard EtherNet/IP network technology.

- FactoryTalk Pharma Suite now includes Electronic Batch Recording
We have extended our FactoryTalk Pharma Suite, a suite of software applications tailored to the needs of pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers, with the addition of electronic batch recording (EBR). The new release comes with a graphical recipe workbench and an enhanced recipe execution client. Both are highly optimised to meet the needs of their targeted users and provide excellent usability, look and feel.
