TÜV-certified Functional Safety Engineers offer customers application safety knowledge and peace of mind
Among the many qualifications our functional safety engineers strive for, the TÜV Functional Safety exam supports engineers (and/or persons in the functional safety business) to deepen their knowledge and their experience in order to achieve a worldwide acknowledged know how and practical experience within the area of functional safety of machinery.

The new standards regarding Functional Safety as well as the new European Machinery Directive require that persons and organizations performing responsible (accountable) tasks during the life-cycle phase of a machine have to achieve and prove the required competencies.
Participants who complete the TÜV-certified exam demonstrate their thorough understanding of how safety systems and safety components are designed and applied to reduce hazards from machinery to achieve the required safety integrity level to safeguard people and the surrounding environment. In addition to the technical requirements, information about organizational measures as well as quality assurance and documentation for the life-cycle design and validation is also included.
We now have a team of certified TÜV Functional Safety Engineers within the EMEA region, reinforcing our commitment to the continued development of our employees' and our partners' competency in machine and process safety, and our position as the market leader in the supply of safety solutions across discrete and process applications. We are always keen to highlight the importance and focus that we associate with integrated safety as part of our overall automation capability.
